The included scenery is rather limited, but you can import custom scenery that you have downloaded from the internet or created with a 3D-Software like Blender. You can just move it up and down to make hills, valleys and lakes, but you can't make amazing stuff like caves or sculpt it like in Planet Coaster. Of course building an almost 2 km long dueling terrain coaster with custom scripts and scenery takes longer than building another Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop.
It takes a while because the coaster building system is a lot more complex than Planet Coaster, but it’s fine once you learn how to use it. It really depends on the complexity of the coaster, if your trying to make a decent coaster for fun without too much detail, it could take up to a few hours, but if you really want a highly detailed and realistic coaster, it could take days (or longer).
